Always wanted to be a runner? Hate running? Think you cant run?
Everyone and anyone can run.....it doesn't matter how far or how fast, what matters is you get up and you get out.
I always thought I hated running-I'm that girl that dodged PE at school every single week-always had a letter, an excuse to get out of it, never did anything physical-now I run half marathons before taking the kids to school.
Running for me is my "me" time, I dont run for weightloss or fitness (I did when I started and yes it changed my body) but now I run for me. It gives me alone time, time to digest my thoughts, plan my days, de-stress from the things that are getting to me, think, breathe, chill out and at the end of it feel great!!!
The best way to get started-find a friend, start slow, have a short distance and dont try and run before you can walk. I started my running with 10 minutes a day 3 times a week and each day I would go out and just walk 1 minute, run 1 minute for 10 minutes and that was it. I then increased my minutes, reduced my walking and from then I never stopped running.......that was 10 years ago!!!
If you would like to start running, increase your mileage-want to go from a 5k to a 10k for example, would like to increase your speed or would like to join a group or run with me, please drop me an a email.
